House/Residence -
Molino a Brolio, antique Mill of the 17th century situated in quiet position on the hills (400m) between Gaiole in Chianti and Siena. A place renowed for its numerous farms and castle like Brolio and Meleto. Many typical restaurants nearby. The renovation has maintained the original architecture of the stone house built on the site of a square tower. The characteristic beam ceilings and vaulted arches together with sinks made of stone recall the atmosphere of the old times. The house has a 3000 m2 grounds with olive and cypress trees. Several terraces with furniture. In a quiet and sheltered position there is a swimming pool with sun terrace. Swimming-towels are available for the clients (extra). Nicely furnishings with typical and antique furniture.
Interior -
10-room house 500 m2 on 3 levels, on the ground floor, nice, rustic, antique and tasteful furnishings: lounge with open fireplace and satellite-TV. Exit to the garden, to the loggia. Open large dining room. Exit to the terrace, to the patio. Living/dining room. Exit to the loggia. Open kitchen (4 hotplates, oven, dishwasher). Exit to the terrace. Upper floor: large living room with open fireplace. Exit to the loggia. Open small gallery with 2 beds. 2 double bedrooms. 1 open double bedroom with bath/bidet/WC. Kitchenette (3 hotplates). 2 showers/bidet/WC. 2nd upper floor: 1 open large double bedroom with hand-basin and separate WC. Nice view of the garden and the countryside. Facilities: washing machine. The room on the second floor is in the tower. Part of separate house (with separate entrance): Ground floor: living room with kitchenette and sofa bed. Terrace. First Floor: 2 double bedrooms. Bath / bidet / wc./WC.
